The Power of Design

In our current main focus “The Power of Design” we trace the concept of power throughout design. Power doesn’t always have an effect where and as we expect it to. After all, it isn’t only the powerful who wield power, it can also be used against them. When power is placed openly in someone’s hand, it often remains ineffective. On the other hand, designers can use it to influence users without them even realising it. Power is concealed not least in photography, which at one time was supposed to merely mirror reality.
