4th International Colloquium on Design, Branding and Marketing
5 – 7 December 2018
The International Colloquium on Design, Branding and Marketing was created to promote dialogue between marketing and design and to explore connections between theory and practice. The fourth colloquium will take place, for the first time outside the UK, in Hasselt, Belgium.
Under the banner of “Experience and Value Creation in Design, Branding and Marketing”, this year’s conference focuses on the creative process and aims to uncover interdisciplinary connections between research, practice, and teaching. Accordingly, the speakers come from both academia and industry and will cover topics ranging from retail design, brand management, and organisational identity to online marketing, e-commerce and much more. Among the key questions of the colloquium are how design, branding and marketing can be thought of together to create better experiences and value for the customer, or how best to communicate the idea of experiential value to students.
During the two days in December, there will be parallel sessions and an opening speech by T.C. Melewar, professor of marketing and strategy at Middlesex University London and director of the colloquium, as well as a keynote address by Michel van Tongeren, author of the book “One to One: The Essence of Retail Branding and Design”.
