The “Open Source Congress” expands the open-air music festival of the same name to discuss new ideas and trends around the sustainable design of the future with thinkers, drivers and creators.
The 14th edition of the Open Source Music Festival will take place on 13 July this year at Dusseldorf’s racecourse. In addition to the main event and the accompanying OSF+ series of events with concerts, film screenings and club nights, the organisers launched a conference last year which takes place the day before the festival. The main themes of this year’s event are communities, new work, digital transformation, sustainability and urban development.
On stage will be the author Sophie Passmann, the programmer Aya Jaff, the virologist Helga Rübsamen-Schaeff, the podcast producer Matze Hielscher and the multidisciplinary Berlin collective Assemble. Taking the slogan of “Come out. Think”, the speakers will be asking themselves questions about the design of a common future worth living in.
Tickets for the conference are available for 55 euros. Those wishing to also attend the music festival will pay 175 euros.
