Reimagine Horst.

Arts & Music

ASIAT site, Vilvoorde

Registration deadline: 29 May 2019

Reimagine Horst: “The end is never the end. It’s always a new beginning.” Guided by this principle, the Horst Arts & Music Festival is gearing up again. Building on the insights and experiences of the last five years, the organisers have set themselves greater goals for this year: the music and arts festival will be expanded in 2019 to include a series of lab workshops and an exhibition of works of art on site.

The workshops will take place from 4 to 14 July on the ASIAT site, a former military area, in Vilvoorde (Belgium). The six-hectare open space with 20 warehouses, greenhouses and disused cooling towers will serve as a backdrop for the workshops, exhibitions and the festival itself. The Lab Series is divided into four sub-categories – architecture, music, design and art – and is aimed at anyone with a passion for creativity. In these lab-based courses, more than one hundred international participants will have the opportunity to challenge and test their own limits and creative talents and to create exciting new projects in experiments and co-creations with the support of influential designers and pioneers of the creative scene. The promotion of young talents and the simultaneous support of the venues by art and music as catalysts is the guiding principle of the event. The registration deadline for the labs is 29 May 2019.
