Animago Award

Closing date: 21 July 2014

Digital image editing, visual effects and animation are now an integral part of our everyday lives, and form a key part of the work of film-makers, advertisers, app designers, games developers and digital artists all over the world. This year, the 18th Animago Award is honouring work from the fields of 3D, visual effects and interactive media. The award ceremony will take place on 16 October as part of the Animago Conference.

The competition is open to professional designers and up-and-coming creatives alike, and is free to enter. The award is presented in ten categories: best post-production, best short film, best advertising production, best interactive production, best game design, best trailer/opener, best visual effects, best upcoming production, best still and the jury’s special prize. The event’s organiser, Digital Production, a German-language trade magazine, has sponsored the best upcoming production award with 3,000 euros prize money. The best still is chosen by the readers of the magazine, and the winner of the special prize will receive a Dell Precision M3800 Workstation. The members of the Jury are Günter Hagedorn, Dirk Beichert, Prof. Dr. Linda Breitlauch, Alexander Ellendt, Florian Gellinger, Sabine Hatzfeld, Csaba Letay, Michael C. Müller, Mate Steinforth, Nhat Quang Tran, Elmar Giglinger and Ina Göring.
