The first B3 Autumn School is taking place this season as part of the Biennal of the Moving Image in Frankfurt. Young creative talents from Germany and other European countries are invited to get involved in various workshops, master classes and seminars developing new perspectives for the moving image.

As the Biennal of the Moving Image takes place only every two years, the plan is to dedicate the intervening year to up-and-coming young creatives. This is the first year, therefore, that regional, national and international heavyweights from the areas of film, games, radio, TV, sound and art will gather to pass on their knowledge to the next generation during the B3 Autumn School. A particular attraction of the one-week event is the planned lecture-performance by the American artist Lucy Raven in co-operation with the Städelschule Academy of Fine Arts in Frankfurt and the Portikus art gallery. Taking place at the same time as the Autumn School will be the B3 Think Tank. This is a media summit at which experts and guests from various disciplines discuss current topics.  The outcomes of all the discussions will be reflected in the content of the planning process of the Biennale 2015.
