FITC Amsterdam 2018

FITC which stands for Future, Innovation, Technology, and Creativity and is a conference for members of the international design industry. Its eleventh edition will this year take place in Amsterdam. During the two-day event on 19 and 20 February 2018, well-known figures in the world of design will lead the discussion about the future of innovation and design in presentations and workshops.
At the conference, more than 40 speakers from around the world will be contributing to determining future innovations at the interface between design and technology. This year’s speakers include graphic design icon from the United States, David Carson, as well as Daniel Scheibel and Zander Brimijoin from Red Paper Heart and Gavin Strange alias Jam Factory, who has designed the visual appearance of the event on the theme of “Legend has it”.
The event is aimed at professional designers, creative minds and also students and aims to give these target groups the opportunity to network and exchange information on the latest developments in design and technology.
A standard ticket for the two-day conference costs between 239 and 399 euros. Students may claim a discount. For a surcharge, visitors can attend one of three full-day workshops on the Sunday the 18 February 2018 before the conference. One of the workshops will be led by the Oscar-nominated animation artist, Adam Pesapane aka PES, in which participants will be able to produce their own animated clip with his help. “Paper”, the promotional film made by PES for Honda, won an Emmy nomination in the “Outstanding Commercial of 2016” category.
The next FITC event will take place in Toronto from 8 to 10 April 2018.
