Tech Open Air
Half conference - half festival; this is the idea behind the annual Tech Open Air that will be launched for the third time in its history in the middle of July 2014. Creatives and visionaries in the areas of technology, art, music and science will be meeting to exchange ideas and to network.
This year, everything at Tech Open Air will be revolving around the theme of hardware. On the first day of the event, meetings will take place in the Alte Teppichfabrik for the Unconference for talks, debates, live acts, multi-media installations and interactive workshops. In addition, Partner Mini will be organising a Hardware Pitch Contest where the prizes include a workshop with an in-house expert. Speakers at the conference include Tobias Bauckhage (Moviepliot), Danae Ringelmann (Indiegogo), James Minor (South by Southwest), James Hilton (AKQA), Brady Forrest (Highway1) and Prince Fahad al Saud. July 17 is the day for satellite events where the community throughout Berlin organises additional events such as workshops, hackathons, concerts, lectures and exhibitions. This will include, for example, the Design Slam, in which four participants have three design tasks to complete with a limited selection of materials. The winner will be awarded an annual subscription to form.
The box office for Tech Open Air is now open for advance sales of tickets.
