ZHdK Highlights 2017
2 – 23 September 2017
The second edition of the Highlights of Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) takes place from 2 to 23 September 2017. Over a period of three weeks, students’ works created over the past year, will be displayed on the premises of the Toni-Areal in Zurich.
Exhibitions, concerts, presentations, performances, and interventions will showcase the works of 150 students for three weeks. The projects are drawn from the areas of design, art, music, theatre, film, and art education and sometimes combine several disciplines.
Included in the programme is the double concert “Chaosflöte // recalibrate. Welcome to my white cube” by Melody Chua and Andri Schatz, which will take place on 20 September. Melody Chua is a flautist who combines her experimental music with electronic sounds, embedded in audio-visual installations.
Another highlight is the virtual reality tour “The Mummy of Tabeketnetmut” by Selina Bächli that takes place 3.000 years ago. Visitors can witness an ancient Egyptian funeral in this virtual reconstruction.
All the exhibitions are open from midday to 8 pm every day.
