form 239 – The Battle for Ulm / The Fight
What would our long-serving editor-in-chief Karl-Heinz Krug, a graduate of the HfG Ulm, have said about our cover story? We would have been very interested in his opinion on the latest developments in Ulm and on our reporting. It is a sad duty to inform you that Karl-Heinz Krug has passed away. In this issue, we commemorate him and Kurt Weidemann, a long-time friend.
In addition to Oliver Herwig's balanced and precise cover story, we are publishing color photos by Hans C. Conrad from the early days of the Ulm School for the first time. Situated between novels and classic picture stories, the graphic novel is becoming increasingly popular; outstanding examples from the abundance of recent publications are presented.
