form 277 – Mexico / Land of Design Mexico
Mexico is a land of contrasts: on the one hand, it is seen as a progressive economic hub and is known as a holiday paradise – rich in history, tradition, and craftsmanship – yet Mexico is also plagued by political and economic crises as well as natural disasters. Mexico City's selection as World Design Capital 2018 shows that design is attributed an important role in the country's development. In this issue, we therefore embark on a journey through Mexico's design scene, exploring its origins, current trends, influences, and protagonists.
Furthermore, we continue our examination of Design Thinking, this time from a practical perspective, dedicate ourselves to the phenomenon of design manifestos, which are currently enjoying renewed popularity, and investigate the psychological effect of color.
