The facts are completely trivial: women make up half of the world's population, and some women design. The vast majority of them use designed products every day. And yet, like in many other male-dominated industries, women are still less visible in design than their male colleagues. Even as users, they regularly disappear in the design process into the shadow of the white man who is set as the standard. In form 287, we dedicate ourselves to the diverse perspectives that feminism opens up for design. We gather successful feminist design projects as well as outstanding female designers and design experts. We talk to them about their work and experiences in the industry and learn that design is never gender-neutral.
