form Design Classic – door handle FSB 1144 by Jasper Morrison
Behind the cryptic abbreviation FSB 1144 lies the collaboration between Franz Schneider Brakel and Jasper Morrison. In this edition of "form Designklassiker", author Jasmin Jouhar tells how the British designer and the hardware manufacturer from East Westphalia jointly developed a family of door handles around 30 years ago. FSB 1144 was not only Morrison's first commission from the industry, but it also led him to a design approach that would later enter design history under the keyword "Super Normal."
