form 268 – Work
From a physical perspective, work is energy transferred to a body. Human labor, on the other hand, cannot be so easily reduced to a formula, as various aspects play a role: it involves economic contexts in which we create added value and most of us earn our living. At the same time, work has both positive and negative social, emotional, and psychological effects. The conditions under which work is performed are shapeable, which is why in this issue we deal with the design of workplaces, look at new manufacturing methods and forms of work organization, and dedicate ourselves to creative work and its processes.
Furthermore, we present the history and typographic creation process of the "Neue Kabel", introduce materials that are particularly good for sitting on, and give Belgian designer Sophie Krier carte blanche.
