Behind the cryptic abbreviation FSB 1144 lies the collaboration between Franz Schneider Brakel and Jasper Morrison. In this edition of form Designklassiker, author Jasmin Jouhar recounts how, some 30 years ago, the British designer and the hardware manufacturer from East Westphalia jointly developed a family of door handles. FSB 1144 was not only Morrison's first industrial commission; it also led him to a design approach that would later enter design history under the keyword "Super Normal."
