The first manual for gender-sensitive language and typography is here! Underscore, medial capital, asterisk or colon? Which gender-sensitive characters are used when? And what are the possibilities for dealing with them creatively?

For over a year, Verlag form worked with author Hannah Witte on the project, which is finally being launched today. What began almost a year ago as an extremely successful crowdfunding campaign has now become a reality. Typohacks is not only intended for people working professionally in the fields of typography and graphic design, but also for everyone else who wants to explore the topic of gendering.
In the manual, designer and author Hannah Witte introduces current methods of anti-discriminatory language action and shows that language is neither one-dimensional nor absolute.

We would like to particularly thank the supporters of the Typohacks crowdfunding campaign. You made this book possible! All goodies are on their way to you as of today.
By the way: In autumn 2021, Typohacks was awarded the iphiGenia Gender Design Award!
